During my recent stay at Chateau Du Clos Mortier, Pascale warmly welcomed us to her stunning home, offering a choice of rooms, and we opted for one overlooking the picturesque garden. The refreshing swimming pool was a delightful bonus, especially on a scorching day, complemented by complimentary cold beer.Although the lack of air conditioning was noticeable, a fan in the bedroom sufficed, making our accommodations comfortable. The beautiful gardens, with roaming deer, added to the charm of the property, while the nearby town of St Dizier was a short, scenic drive away, perfect for exploring.We were enchanted by the friendly reception and helpful assistance from Madame, surrounded by the chateau's elegant decor and original features. The breakfast selection was exceptional, offering a variety of delicious options. Our cozy ground floor bedroom with a bathroom provided a peaceful retreat.The hosts were exceptionally accommodating, providing cold drinks upon our arrival at the impressive chateau nestled within enchanting gardens. The vast grounds, complete with a tennis court and swimming pool, were a serene escape on our journey back to Calais. The convenient access to amenities like a large supermarket and excellent local restaurants enhanced our experience.Château du Clos Mortier exceeded our expectations, with the hosts going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay.
